Mount Prospect Horse Agistment offers short-term holiday placements for owners who are temporarily away or requiring short-term care support.

​

Holiday placements are managed within the same calm, carefully supervised environment as our long-term residents, ensuring horses continue to receive consistent daily oversight.

​

This service is designed strictly for short-term stays and is not intended for part-care or extended long-term agistment.

​

Holiday Agistment – $140 per horse, per week

​

Inclusions

​

• 24/7 on-site supervision

• Daily paddock checks and routine health observation

• Secure paddock placement with carefully selected compatible companion where appropriate

• Clean spring-fed water via automatic trough systems

• Rug management where required (owner supplied rugs)

• Feeding of owner-supplied feed and hay to maintain the horse’s existing routine

Conditions

​

• Holiday placements are intended for short-term absences only.

• Long-term or semi-permanent placements are not accommodated under this package.

• No on-site riding access is provided during holiday stays.

Located near Daylesford and within practical proximity to Ballarat’s equine veterinary services.

Important Information

​

• Owner supplied feed and hay must be clearly labelled and provided in appropriate containers.

• Farrier, dental, veterinary care, worming and supplements remain the responsibility of the horse’s owner.

• A signed agistment agreement is required prior to arrival.

• Payment terms are confirmed at the time of booking.

• Availability is limited and assessed carefully to ensure appropriate care capacity.
