Mount Prospect Horse Agistment provides structured spelling placements for horses requiring time out from work, a seasonal break, or a period of light management.

​

Spelling care is delivered in a calm, carefully managed environment with consistent daily oversight.

​

Spelling placements are short-term and subject to availability alongside our long-term residents.

​

Spelling Agistment – $185 per horse, per week

​

Inclusions

​

• Two tailored hard feeds daily

• Daily provision of quality hay

• Rug management as required

• Individual paddock placements with carefully selected companions (maximum 2–3 horses)

• Daily paddock and health monitoring

• Secure fencing with natural and constructed shelter

• Clean spring-fed water to automatic trough systems

• Ongoing condition monitoring and feed adjustments

• Over 40 years of practical equine experience

• Specialised feeds required outside of our standard feeding program will be supplied at the owner’s expense.

 

(Recovery Yard placement may be considered where controlled rest is required (subject to availability and suitability).

The property offers a quiet, low-stress setting designed to support rest and steady condition maintenance.

​

Located near Daylesford and within practical proximity to Ballarat’s equine veterinary services.

 

Additional Information

​

• Farrier, dental, veterinary care, worming, and supplements are additional costs

• A signed agistment agreement is required prior to arrival

• One month’s bond is payable before commencement

​

Placements are limited and assessed based on suitability and care capacity.

​
