Mount Prospect Horse Agistment offers structured Recovery Yard placements for horses requiring controlled rest, post-injury management, or rehabilitation support.

​

This service is designed for short- or long-term recovery where consistent daily monitoring and controlled movement are essential.

 

Recovery Yard Package – $420 per week

​

Inclusions

​

• Large, secure sand-based yard

• 3m × 3m weatherproof shelter

• Two tailored hard feeds daily

• Daily provision of quality hay

• Fresh water monitored and replenished

• Administration of owner-supplied oral or topical medications

• Ongoing comfort, mobility, and behaviour monitoring

• Rug checks and adjustments as required

• Updates provided for significant changes or milestones

This package is suitable for horses recovering from injury, illness, laminitis, gastric issues, or those requiring restricted or controlled movement.

 

Additional Services (Charged as Required)

​

• Injectable medications (owner supplied) – $10 per administration

• Bandage changes or wound care – Pricing on application (based on complexity)

• Veterinary visit handling or attendance – $20 per 30 minutes

• Farrier holding – $10 flat rate

​

Feeding Adjustments

​

•  Additional hard feeds (above the two included) – $5 per feed

​

Horses requiring specialised or veterinary-directed nutrition beyond our standard program will have these products supplied at the owner’s expense.

​

• Weekly body condition progress photos available upon request

• Owner-requested photo or video updates – $5 per update

 

Booking & Payment

• Weekly invoicing

• Payment due upon receipt

• One-week bond required to secure placement

• Long-term stays (12+ weeks) may be considered for adjusted pricing
