Mount Prospect Horse Agistment offers specialised Recovery Yard placements for horses requiring controlled rest, post-injury management or rehabilitation support.

Recovery placements are managed within a calm, carefully supervised environment where consistent daily oversight and controlled movement are prioritised.

This service is suitable for both short and extended recovery periods where horses benefit from structured care and close monitoring.

 

Recovery Yard Package – $420 per week

Inclusions

​

• Large secure sand-based recovery yard

• 3 m × 3 m weatherproof shelter

• 24/7 on-site supervision

• Daily health, comfort and behaviour monitoring

• Fresh water monitored and replenished

• Two daily feeds provided as part of Mount Prospect Horse Agistment's structured feeding routine

• Quality hay provided according to seasonal conditions and veterinary recommendations where applicable

​Mount Prospect Horse Agistment provides a standard feeding routine which includes up to 3 kg of hard feed per day along with quality hay. Horses requiring additional feed, specialised diets or veterinary-directed nutrition will have these feeds supplied by the owner.​

• Administration of owner supplied oral or topical medications

• Rug monitoring and adjustments where required

• Updates provided to owners should significant changes or milestones occur

This package is suitable for horses recovering from injury, illness, laminitis, gastric conditions or those requiring restricted or controlled movement.

 

Additional Services (Charged Where Required)

​

Bandage changes or wound care – pricing based on complexity

Veterinary visit handling or attendance – $20 per 30 minutes

Farrier holding – $20 flat rate

Monitoring & Documentation

​

Weekly body condition progress photos available upon request.

Owner requested photo or video updates – $5 per update

 

Booking & Payment

​

Weekly invoicing.

Payment due upon receipt.

A one-week bond is required to secure placement.

Long-term recovery placements (12+ weeks) may be considered for adjusted pricing where appropriate.
