We offer Full-Care Agistment, Retirement Agistment, Short- and Long-Term Stays, Rest and Recovery programs, and Holiday Agistment. Each option provides attentive daily care tailored to individual needs, balanced feeding, rugging as required, and the reassurance of 24/7 on-site supervision.
Absolutely — we have a safe and secure small yard designed for horses needing extra care, whether for medical needs, rehabilitation, or special attention. The yard also has a cosy 3m x 3m shelter, giving your horse comfort and protection while we keep a close eye on them. This space allows us to provide the gentle, attentive care they need during their recovery.
Our full-care service is ideal for horses in work or for general paddock care.

Yes — we welcome horses with special needs, including those requiring additional feed management, medical support, or closer supervision. Every horse is treated as an individual, and we tailor their care to ensure they are comfortable, safe, and well looked after. We do ask that any special requirements are discussed with us in advance, so we can make sure the right support and facilities are in place for your horse.
Yes — we can administer oral or topical medications as part of your horse’s daily care routine. All medications must be clearly labelled with instructions, and we ask that you provide enough for the duration of your horse’s stay. This ensures your horse continues to receive the treatment they need, with the same care and attention you would give them at home.
Yes! All horses at Mount Prospect Horse Agistment are kept in shared paddocks, carefully matched by temperament and size to ensure a safe and stress-free environment. Private paddocks are not available, except where an owner has two or more horses that can be paddocked together.
No onsite riding is permitted at Mount Prospect Horse Agistment.
However, we are located right beside the Wombat State Forest, offering direct access to stunning bush trails for those who wish to enjoy trail riding nearby.
To apply for a place at Mount Prospect Horse Agistment, simply complete our Expression of Interest Form or contact us directly to discuss your horse’s needs. Once we confirm availability, we will invite you to a meet and greet and property tour. This is an opportunity to see our facilities, ask questions, and ensure we are the right fit for you and your horse.
Following the visit, we will provide you with our Agistment Contract to review and complete. A signed contract and a one-month bond are required to secure your horse’s place. This ensures your horse’s paddock and care package are reserved and ready for their arrival.
